Three Somali nationals shot and killed in Khayelitsha

CAPE TOWN – Three Somali nationals have been shot and killed in Khayelitsha, Cape Town in separate incidents on Thursday night.

The three separate incidents happened minutes apart in Site C Police said. They say they cannot rule out the possibility of the three events being linked.

“The first one [incident] occurred at 9:45pm - a 27-year-old man was shot and killed outside his business while he was locking his shop,” said Western Cape Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Andre Trout.

“Shortly after that, five minutes later at a separate location, a 22-year-old man was shot and killed inside his shop and around the same time, a 28-year-old national was killed in Solomon Tshuku Street, also in Site C,” Trout said.

Pardon my enthusiasm
There was a time when Somalia made a song for South Africa fighting for the black south africans freedom and opening up our doors for their refugees and this is what we get in return.

Khayelitsha's district is where they filmed that movie "District 9".

It's like opening up a business in Chicago--not downtown but in the hood.

"Around 70% of residents still live in shacks and one in three people has to walk 200 meters or further to access water.[2]

You are safer opening a business in an Al-Shabab stronghold than in Khayelitsha.

Sure it's more dangerous but it's also more lucrative. Not to mention the set-up costs of a business in a safer neighbourhood is much more expensive.

It's pretty obvious, no? Hate crimes against Somalis in South Africa are pretty rampant.

is making few bucks in the slums more important than their lived?
starving in your country is better than being gunned down by fucking savages.

South Africans suffer from inferiority complex so they lash out at anyone who is doing well for themselves because they feel that should be them especially in their own country, that's what years of apartheid does to you. This is the case especially towards other Africans. They dare not do it to other non black south Africans though because they have positions of power.
