The problem with that is the empire is extremely embedded into the world system and it has been that ways for generations...the last time its superpower status was truly contested, was during the cold war. Also, I find it really hard to realistically imagine a world without any empires at all...if the American empire falls, another nation is waiting right around the corner to become the new 'boss in town'(China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia, Iran, North Korea:/, and even England are potential candidates). Who's to say that the 'opposing empire', which emerges to challenge the current one, won't be a whole lot worse?? IMO, all the potential over-throwers are "parasites" in some way or another. All I'm stating is...if I must have a master/world police, I'd prefer it to be the Americans (at least they have a good constitution) rather than any of those other countries I listed.

As we become increasingly globalized, poverty/inequality is gonna be more and more of an issue for sure. And yea, they use international organizations like the IMF to keep Africans (and South Americans) indebted to them[thus, eliminating sovereignty] as well as to make sure Africans never experience economic growth[thus, eliminating competition]...it's the neo-colonial tactic [disguised as good will]. After all, a country that is both corrupt and dependent is in no place to demand justice, let alone a threat to the dominant system.:zhqjlmx:
True. As bad as they are, they're a democracy and can't do evil out in the open. If the Chinese or Russians were the world power, we'd see a lot more dead Muslims and a lot more nukes being used.

Exactly, we can already see this by the way they treat their OWN citizens. If a country doesn't even attempt to give the illusion of free speech/expression and rights for its people, it's pretty clear that they don't prioritize democratic values...and definitely wouldn't change when they get into a position of uncontested power.

o_OLol, what's that face for?? I'm not saying which countries that I'd like to have replace America as a world power if that's what you were thinking...I was just stating the countries which could reach that status (& Saudi is pretty rich; economics mean everything in this current day * age).

Wow you can say What ever you want about:whoa: China but they liftend 700 million people out of poversty more than the west has ever done. China's forgein policy is based on non interference in internal affaires, thats the reason they abstain/block votes so much, unlike US the wont flood countries with weapons and "rebbelions"

Eh, I think Qatar, UAE, Oman wiould be relatively fine...Yemen is already a hell hole, Syria is close to being a hell hole, Israel would be in danger, Palestine would be neglected, and Saudi would try to use what's left of their diminishing/irrelevant oil power to protect its elite. As much as I critique the US on a lot of things, a world is much better with them being in control than any other contending group imo.

Fair enough, China probably won't invade the Middle East, but I definitely see Russia doing it if it was the super power of the world. They wouldn't even do rebellions since the UN would mean nothing. Just waltz in there and do their thing

Once the oil & tourist money starts drying up, the gulf states will revert back to desert shitholes & Iran will grasp the opportunity to revive the old persian empire.

I agree, Saudi has a lot of degenerates...I would hate to see the aftermath in that region if the West collapsed. They are also traitors to their fellow brothers/sisters...the only reason they are tolerated(besides their current economic power) is because of Mecca*/Medina. As for economies "100% tuned" to the West, that's going to be the majority of the world sooner or later...if we don't prevent & reverse Globalism.

The Somali Imperuim will anex all of East Africa and Saudi Oil fields, :rejoice:

Iran and Turkey can have the rest:idontlike:
Nah i say we leave the middle east to Turkey & Iran to deal with, the arab barbarians will be commiting suicide bombings very frequently, therefore it will be difficult to fully control arab lands & exploit the resources there....
:heh:

Whereas the bantus don't put up much resistance & will be very servile to their masters. Plus, their lands are way more valuable than the deserts of arabia.
