I must admit that I never studied their history much outside of the Horn so I'm mostly unaware. Weren't most brought in as laborers by the Europeans? How did they rise to be so wealthy and elite? Did the cadaans prop them up like I recall it being the case in Uganda?

Desis are remarkable with this even here in the UAE. I've seen even among Muslim Pakistanis that several generations of the family will reside under one roof. Guy I went to college with was like this. He had two elder brothers who were both married but lived at home. The family pooled their resources together and bought a big ass villa but basically his parents, his brothers and their wives and small children all lived in the house and they'd save and basically ran the same car dealership business together.

People call us violent, but I actually want my people to become more aggressive, however, I want the aggression to be redefined into something that is actually cerebral; we should create Sovereignty affirming ideologies; our aggression should be re-directed to specific productive ends in order to re-affirm our Sovereignty and National interests.

A component of the high school curriculum should emphasise the importance of controlling our resources and securing our Sovereignty.

Instead of putting all our hopes and dreams onto a Moses type figure (like Thomas Sankara) we should socialise into the mind of every citizen an ideology that will ensure the Sovereignty of our State and the control of our resources.

Military training should be compulsory and it should be re-affirmed to every student that we were conquered as a continent because we were weak; this is precisely how China frames the Century of humiliation.

Our constitution should explicitly prohibit the deployment and stationing of non-African troops on our soil. Our land and natural resources should be Nationalised; our manufacturing base and utilities should all be public in one form or another; banks, telecommunications, the energy grid and airlines should all be public; every strategic industry and sector of the economy must belong to the people.

Borrowing money in foreign denominated currency from international creditors and Nations should be illegal; it's not actually required and most of this money is sequestered by death-deserving corrupt State officials and only serves to place the Nation in debt peonage.

We need to work with heterodox economists and formulate an economic curriculum that addresses credit, banking, debt and balance of payments -- matters that are strangely not addressed in economic courses.

Demographics are important, so we shouldn't allow hostile groups to set up shop; we should only consider allowing in a statistically insignificant number of outsiders once we control every strategic and lucrative sector of the economy.

Outsiders should work on our terms and under our power.

It sounds a little extreme, but every child should be put into boarding schools in order to create a new society where morality, strength and intelligence take precedence; we should remove all the dysfunction inducing nonsense that prevails all over the continent.


I think the primary reason we don't progress as a continent is because we are philosophically deficient and have an inverted view of things; we want the State to change and for the people to follow suit -- instead of the other way round; we must change first and the State will follow.

There are no viable leaders; no saviours; no messiahs.

In addition to emphasising STEM, inference, logic, spatial memory and reasoning... our education systems should put a premium on teaching philosophies that expound on morality and ethics, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, mental toughness and cooperation.

Physical education is also of tremendous importance; our diet and exercise cultures must change; every boarding school should have a team of nutritionists and ensure that our youth are healthy and physically fit and strong.

The frail and pathetic ectomorph physique that we currently have must be stamped out and replaced with lean muscle frames; self-defence classes should be taught in every school and we should teach a combination of boxing, Judo and Jiu-jitsu to young men in high school.

We shouldn't be just scholars or mindless meatheads; we should create a society of warrior scholars.

i disagree. the colonization of south and southeast asia was much longer and aggressive despite being very far away from europe. indonesia the indian subcontinent malaysia phillippines etc. african countries that were hospitable to western immune systems (somalia sudan and arab africa etc) were colonized much less even though they were closer to europe and easier flat terrain to conquer.

I would actually fuse Argos and Athens.

It's a myth that the Spartans were a particularly martial culture, but yes... we need to systematically cleanse ourselves of weakness -- in moral, mental and physical terms.

Once we have a State of this sort... it should aspire to be the Germany of Africa and wield its considerable soft power to fundamentally alter the geopolitical chessboard.

A State like that could form the African equivalent of the school of the Americas -- but instead of creating, training and supporting right-wing military dictators and operatives... it could train thousands of technical experts and civil administrators from African States and export its political, economic and social system all over the continent.

The exercise of soft power could allow such a State to create 'multilateral' institutions and provide funding and support to 'colour revolutions'; in the same way that the United States funds and supports colour revolutions all over the world.

The AU is pathetic and needs to be reformed; funding from non-African powers should be explicitly prohibited. The reason for this is simple and it relates to the other golden rule:

Multilateral military action could be taken and tinpot traitors would finally be on notice; imagine dictators being given ultimatums to vacate power all over Africa.

Isn't that actually yet another indictment against us? Each continent has a significant economic power except us.

Asia has Japan, South Korea and Singapore -- and China will eclipse the United States as the world's largest economy in less than a decade. There's not a single Country in Africa that holds a candle to these Nations.
