I kid you not I've been predicting this would happen ever since the sudan civil war began. It was a matter of time before they turned to building this pipeline which will only empower Ethiopia further in the region since most of the pipeline will be built on Ethiopian soil
An alternative pipeline should have been constructed a long time ago, however, the recent loan from the bastards in the UAE (and its terms) will make this a pointless endeavour
They’ve been looking for an alternate route for many years now and from the looks of it, Kenya is still their best option. Why would you choose to build a pipeline through mountainous terrain compared to relatively flat terrain? I don’t think the goal is to export it to the world market but probably a ploy by the UAE to subsidize Ethiopia’s oil needs.
