We need a system where everyone feels at home and can vote and thinks about how to advance the state and not their sub-clan. When I see clans talking about how many they are and that their clan needs to be seen, it's concerning and it's not what we need. Their clan is their 'state' and not Puntland and we can't have that.

This is why 1p1v system is doing in PL, we see more and more people registering now its:

PL law states that if you live in the state for 5 years you have the right to vote as long as PL is a part of Somalia Southerners can vote.

That's a stupid law that needs to be repealed asap. It's just going to open the flood gates and PL will be overrun by non Puntites. We'll become super mixed like koonfuur where it is harder to govern due to too much clan diversity. It is going to created future wars/conflicts as we become diverse as well as many social problems. We will have many clans fighting for land, resources, and representations. It doesn't take a genius to see this problem. I'm really pissed that many local Puntland clans have little to no representation, and yet PL government are entertaining the idea of giving representation to people who are not native to PL instead of local clans. I don't know why reer PL are hell bent on engineering their down fall? Hawiye, D&M, Isaaq, and other clans will never let a person who is not from their region to get representation in their lands, and rightfully so.

with this mindset, jubbaland doesnt have hawiye clan that live there that are influencing the state but its much worse security wise than the hawiye states of GM and HS. the reality is there's nothing to fight over in pl but jl is valuable so the southern daroods are in turmoil in political stalemate and not having peace when there is actually something to fight over.
