That is a such a nice way to explain it, I think this is a reddit-wide problem. the entire aspect of up/down votes fuels it. The entire government, the entire concept of villa somalia everything is flawed. Its always liberal policies and 1 member 1 vote will save us. No it wont, democracy on a failed country will not work whatsoever. Maybe it can, maybe just maybe a good leader can come out of it, good enough to figure out that democracy is a scam.

That sub is filled with bunch of naive idealist qurba joogyaal.

r/Somalia seems to have a more progressive mindset compared to the majority here. They are much less focused on qabilism and are looking to bring about change in Somalia, unlike here where many blindly support the 4.5 system. There are also more constructive discussions about seeing Somalia as a nation rather than focusing on clans.

I do agree with it but not the part where they claim Al shabaab are salafis. Salaffiyah has nothing to do with these khawarij. Khawarij are a sect on their own and has nothing to do with Salafis who adhere to the teachings of Ibn Abbas, Ali Abi Talib and Uthman Ibn Affan.

And no such thing as Wahhabi. This is a slur used by dancing sufis who are Asharis in aqeedah but calls themselves Hanafi cause they strictly adhere to a single madhab but ignore the aqeedah of the Imams.

We dont follow a man from 3 centuries ago. We follow the Salaf. The first three generation of Muslims. We follow the companion's understanding of Islam and we act upon revelation as they did. A sufi will tell you he is Hanafi or Shafi'i in fiqh, but not in aqeedah. They follow the aqeedah of Abu Hassan Al Ashari who was born after the death of the four Imams. The Sufis hate us because we believe in Tawheed and we believe in the aqeedah of the salaf. Also dont associate us with the khawarij. The khawarij is its own sect. They the ones who killed Ali and Uthman Ibn Affan who we Salafis claim to follow. So dont associate us with them. Never will you see Sufis or other sects condemning shabaab or Al Qaeda as much as we do. Go to a shabaab stronghold you gonna find bunch of sufis there, but if you claim to be Salafi they will murder you.

Also you said Sufis waa dad dulqeed iyo nabad jecel. Well these Sufis burned down the only hospital in Guriceel owned by my cousins adeer(step father) and her dukaan is beside the hospital and was burned down too. If I go to guriceel and say that their bidah is khuraafaad they gonna murder me

Not at all: I dislike the current Somali government but they understand the limits of their power and their ability- afkood hungurigood kama weyna. There are a lot of situations which are worse than the current state Somalia is in- go back 10 or 20 years and you’ll see it!
