Starlink in Somalia

WE DO NOT NEED THIS:snoop:

Why is the government allowing this hostile South African to run business in Somalia???
I think the link is needed because we can get remote workers that are Somali in Somalia. This will grow the economy a small bit but it will show Somali's that Somali is getting better.

We don't need it, we already have several telecoms that are very successful such as Horumuud

They're only successful because they're one of the few in the game offering mediocre service. This is their fastest package, only 110Mbps for $90. That shit is whack. Starlink will be cheaper, faster, and have better coverage.

The one benefit i see to this is that it will force the somali telecom companies to become more competitive. Thr monopoly the few big companies have has made them lax

They’re tryna monopolise the entire country like standard oil. These niggas run shi like a cartel I’d rather have a foreign company dominate this industry to prevent wealth concentration

Yeah exactly. With how big they are now I'm confident they won't be overwhelmed. But they will have to start innovating again

I will always be a Somali Nationalist and pro-Somaliweyn, but there is no denying that this current Somali administration makes numerous odd decisions. Elon Musk has repeatedly instigated hatred against Somalis in the United States:

Depending on their pricing (there are different pricings in Africa), this will only undercut established packages already provided by Somali companies. I’m sure @Idilinaa can provide greater information.

You will not need 110 mps in Somalia. Less than 10% of that is needed to watch content on Netflix. Even then, the plans you are showing are for PC users. In fact, mobile users can obtain unlimited data for .8$ a month daily, unlimited data too. Somalia has one of the cheapest internet plans in all of Africa.
