They controlled everything. They controlled clans and sewed division against them. They created colonial institutions where Somalis were forced to learn colonial languages to get employment. They destroyed our trade with Asia and Africa. The list is endless.

This denial and ego protection needs to stop. I’m not saying Somalis didn’t fight back but we were outnumbered and out powered. The sheer amount of people who died fighting for that cause is also a huge loss. The sool region hasn’t recovered fully from that either.
