State, mosque or gang; we’re equally awful at running them

If somalis can not run a country or a mosque or even a CRIMINAL GANG, do we need to divide our selves into even smaller factions or we change whatever values & behaviours we have that make co-operation nearly impossible?

one of the reasons somalis have a high deathtoll in the criminal scene is because they kept turning on eachother. I noticed that gangs ran by certain other ethnicgroups had less deadly internal conflicts, why? Because they respected authority and they had a clear structure and hierarchy.. In somali gangs they kept defying the hierarchy, the teenager who joined the gang would eventually turn on his superior.
I can’t even point to one somali criminal gang that stayed intact for long, the young boys they’d recruit would challenge their authority and take them out or split into other groups.

It’s the same with somalia.. there is obviously a cultural issue at hand, it won’t go away if every clan got their own state.

Nomadic cultures are small and tight knit. People who have a nomadic culture find it hard to form larger groups as forming larger groups in an arid environment is counterproductive as there are limited resources.

A sedentary group in a favourable environment are more inclined to create larger groups as its benefits everyone to divide the labour and create opportunities for job roles which doesn’t have to be agricultural/ livestock farming such as intellectualS.

Anti Qabilist - Somali Patriot
Tribalism is a massive issue in Somalia that is a given, in saying that the biggest hindrance to the countries progression is the involvement of third party nations. A prefect example would be Sudan, except with Somalia a lot more players are involved. The country has been a proxy playing ground for decades, tribalism just helps the status quo remain.

Somalia's main problems are the imams, al-Shabaab, qabil-ism, and corruption.

No other issues are as critical as these, because these are problems that are always recurring and are always a barrier against prosperity in Somalia. That is to say - if we resolve these first, we are on the first step to Somaliweyn.

You can look at this and stick your head in the ground saying "OH ITS THE WEST AND ZIONISTS THAT ARE DOING THIS NOOOO YOU ARE INCORRECT NOOOO-"

Caamus, daameer.

The only thing stopping the Somali people from their bountiful potential are the Somali people themselves.

Look at the example of the Chinese:

The GDP per Capita for China in 1952 was 119 dollars, accounting for inflation it was barely over 1000 GDP. They were not recognised as the official China for ~30 years despite controlling over 95 percent of Chinese territory, that official role being given to Taiwan instead.

Now look at them:

They look set to overtake the US economy in ~10 years.
They not only have influence over their region, but exert influence over Africa and to an extent Europe as well.

Look at the example of Singapore:

They were expelled from Malaysia, and now have the highest GDP per capita.

If these countries went from 0 to 100 in 50 years, why can't we?

I have some simple solutions that can be expanded upon, but I am free to suggestions.

al-Shabaab:
Executions for who have partaken in mass murders, jail time for those who have sheltered them, massive campaigns on highlighting al-Shabaab brutality, in those jails prisoners must be re-educated about their violent beliefs, with the hope of reconciliation.

Imams:
Similar to Gulf States, the Imams need to be regulated, we cannot have them teaching violence towards people and spreading idiocy. We can make education compulsory and free, and highlight the benefits of education for the youth. For paying teachers, we can ask UN to aid us in this matter (it is not shameful to ask for help in this case.)

Qabil-ism:
Invoke National pride, by creating infastructure, which will create jobs as well. As for dealing with clans, I don't have a solution and I look to fellow members, and I do the same for corruption.
