Founding a place and playing a big part of the town historically are two things. Even the name Kismayu is from bajuni language and they most likely founded it as a settlement before Somalis migrated south. I agree that Harti Waamo played a big role but not as founders.
Kismayu is Swahili in name, Bajuun speak Swahili (a dialect) and they also live in the Bajuun islands. The Harti that helped form Kismayo were fishermen, their areas in the north were on the coast as well. The Bajuun there are known fishermen.
Prior to the arrival of the Harti, it was a well used by the Bajuni's. However, only until the western bank of the Jubba river was conquered by the Darood did Kismaayo transform into a settlement and trading port by the newly arrived Harti's who came roughly the same time as the other Darood.

You think Harti should almost get the same representation as Rahanweyn in Jubaland altough their numbers are not even near the numbers of Rahanweyn?
