Yes, but it's very complex since at some point Cushites reclaimed Nubia from the Nilotes/Dinkas. And Arabs never really dominated Northern Sudan, they mainly stayed in the Central parts ranging from Shendi to El-Obeid. Not to mention Arab immigrants adopted local cultural practices (to assimilate) such as wedding rituals, only thing natives adopted from Arabs was Islam and the Arabic language.

E-M78 had originally nothing to do with the Horn. It is 100% from the North-Eastern Sahara area..
