Ethiopia ironically finds itself much like somalia being baited into a war that will not benefit them and will most likely earn them the criticism of the IC.

I think the sudanese should not be underestimated but make no mistake. Abo china and Abo russia will help the christian ethiopia over the muslims sudan.

That being said i don't think abiy will make that mistake unless he is prepared to take advantage of the chaos and arm up oromos while amhara do the heavy lifting against both egypt and sudan. Either way tigray and other groups will use this as an opportunity to secede.

What was the reason again to go to war? Yes, there was some skirmish at the border between Ethiopian farmers and Sudanese army but that has been happening for decades. So again what was the reason for all of you here to get excited? Do you guys really think any sane country would go to a full scale war because of these kind of minor incidents? if Russia or China support Ethiopia, the west will cancel Ethiopia’s membership card. The west gave Ethiopia one last chance to show leadership, the Ethiopians failed to show it. This will be their down fall, the second ethiopia’s army falls the rest goes with it.

I assure you young lady, that no somali would maintain hostility towards ethiopia if it would have not involved foreign troops in our battles or if they would settle things peacefully and respect article 39 and enable other regions to secede in peace.

Only then would cooperation come easily between neighboring countries. Those given ethiopia's current stance against kenya with somalia, i wager a bet that the educated DR abiy has come to the realisation that a stable somalia and the happiness of somalis is necessary for the relationship with somalis and ethiopians in the horn in the future to come.

I think abiy has already come to a deal with the galbeed ppl in return for aid and cooperation in the mean time so that both groups can prosper. We somalis in the mainland are focused on our own affairs and restoring the honour of the horn as piracy and terrorism effects international opinions of the Horn as a whole. Yet we cannot stand by as our galbeed brothers are abused and not heard by the ethiopian government.
