It was a short time LG was on the space, but the interesting part was his viewpoints on the timeline of making Baraawe fully the de-facto capital of KG. He said that the gov't partially works from there today, and currently building madaxtooyada and gov't institutions there. As soon as they are finished, KG gov't will make that move. Don't forget that Barawe is the de-jure capital of KGS. Once that move finally occurs, they won't need to fight nobody. I see that LaftaGareen is already making preparations to bring over his entire 'entourage'. You know what that means
One other point if Barawe moves to KG, Xamar will be selecting KG politicians once itâs out of Ethiopian hands and deep in control of SNA. Could you imagine Januaryâs Badbaado KG in Barawe

as long as KGâs next gov is split more equally I see it as a positive for Xamar/FGS. Away from ENDF is always beneficial for us. A Hawiye VP is way more likely in that scenario. I donât buy theyâd be willing to give up all that power they have in baydhabo. Barawe isnât a small city, theyâd have to bring tens of thousands of ppl in and theyâd still be massively outnumber miyi/baadiyo so easily goâdon. Itâs not realistic to think a few politicians moving there will change demographics, itâs like expecting QoorQoor to have turned Dhusamareb into Saleebaan city.

Yeah, I'm aware of the clans aspect. But I've followed him for a while and he seems determinant that it will happen given how he's repeated it many times now, irrespective of the outcome and the future of KG. He mentioned how the construction of gov't institutions recently began (madaxtooyada KG, xaruumaha wasaaradaha & barlamanka), which is what they are waiting on before finally settling there.

I already told him, once LG (or next president if it derails) moves madaxtooyada to KG, his entire 'entourage' will follow suit: dowlad, ciidan, iyo shacab. Obviously not all at once, but it will happen gradually
i can defo see the future demographics change if Barawe becomes SWS capital city. Look at Mogadishu how many RX are there huge numbers, Same will happen in Barawe if it becomes the capital city for SWS, the difference however is theyâll have power and influence they dont have in Mogadishu which will result in their domination not only by population.

Barawe isnât even about HG or anything. Most of shabellaha hooseâs HG influence is military. But weâre outnumbered by Mudulood, Gaaljecel.
Barawe is populated by abgaal, Murusade, hg (mostly Cayr) and hilibi Darandole. The city is hawiye dominated by a combination of military and population.
Itâs also the case Hawiye dominate the route in and out of the place. To change demographics would require a lot and to change military dynamics is impossible. Just look at the last fighting in Barawe where KG darawish surrendered as they had no connection by land to Barawe while SNA had direct resupply and reinforcements from Marka, Afgoye, Xamar route.
Itâs not in Kg interest to move closer to Xamar/shabellaha hoose. Gaaljecel will benefit, HG will benefit, Mudulood will benefit. And the FGS will benefit as Ethiopia is out of the picture. Thereâs more likelihood of hawiye SNA taking Baydhabo in post ENDF scenario than the other way round

Changing the demographic is a stretch, if we're talking about an intentional demographic engineering using all resources available. That's not possible nor on the table.
The only aspect standing in the way for Mirifle today is technically your people, Hawiye, who military dominate Baraawe and AS having presence between Baraawe and Baydhabo. The most likely scenario will be them settling there gradually over time. Which is realistic, given how we've seen how D&M have moved in droves to Banaadir and Baydhabo over the last 15 years, in the millions, from their ancestral land.
With that said, Mirifles will be moving in large numbers towards the coast as Baraawe gains more significance with the KG state building. Especially if/once the state will (ever) be cleared of AS. As their population grows, so will their political influence. Them not military having presence isn't really important now. This is what I'm predicting, based on the given circumstances. We'll see if I'm right in due time

You hit the nail on the head. Rx will probably leave xamar for baraawe since it's better to live in a city your tribe have influence in compared to a city like Xamar controlled by hawiye.
That + a port and shabang Baraawe will become the biggest city in SW with business and opportunities.
