Iran has 90 million people, young, skilled, educated workforce, good industry, has one of the largest gas reserves plus one of the largest oil reserves, better location, better geography. They have MUCH higher human capital than the rest of the Middle East combined, enabling them to prosper more than any country in the region despite facing the toughest sanctions in the world for decades, and make significant technological advancements in Nanotechnology, Space, Hypersonic missiles, AI, Robotics, Manufacturing, Drones, Nuclear etc etc etc.
