Agreed. He is one of my favourite journalists! I think he moved to the UK as a young child, hence his accent, which I think is the Oxford accent.

I used to think that too, but they're different.

My fave is the 'BBC accent.' I call it that because every British newspresenter on there has that same, posh accent.

I can tell Somali Canadian and Americans apart. Americans usually stress the letter "r" more.
