This is quite impressive. Tanzania is building out a national SGR network linking the Great Lakes states with Dar Es Salaam (and perhaps Bagamoyo).

There is a rail boom in East Africa right now. This same Turkish contractor from the Tanzanian SGR 'won' the contract to build Ugandas Malaba to Kampala recently. They plan on taking it to the Congo border

Tanzania seems more promising in the long term than Kenya. It's TFR is more than 1 child higher and the disparity in per capita isn't very large.

Tanzania seem to get lots of projects given to them through AfDB. Meanwhile all we get is shitty programs (with idiots sitting in) that never go anywhere.
