Teachers who get with their students, purposefully make time to do this. The average class-size is 25-30 students, teachers don't get a chance to be alone with students. Unless they purposefully isolate the student, by keeping them behind after class or inviting them into office rooms, where they can be alone.

It's all very intentional and there is no accident about it. Everything about such a 'relationship', involves lies, deception, secrets, manipulation and all sorts of haram activity.
But what if sheโ€™s hot though

Itโ€™s not haram to find somebody attractive and how do you know he did that you are making a lot of assumptions he completed his marriage in a halal way say Allahuma baarik and keep it stepping no need for sjw thinkpieces
Itโ€™s a learning environment. Women shouldnโ€™t feel that theyโ€™ll be failed if they reject their teachers. Itโ€™s mad. And itโ€™s messy. Literally had a conversation with a cousin of mine back home who felt her teacher was taking out his frustrations on being rejected by lowering her grades. Itโ€™s immoral and thatโ€™s what happens when you normalize this.

How can women be comfortable to learn when theyโ€™re being pestered in the class?

They shouldnโ€™t be anything done in class if he likes her he should her parents or mahram according to the sunnah.

plus if he is taking out his frustrations out on a student because of rejection he shouldnโ€™t be a teacher

It doesnโ€™t matter since he lowered her grades since he felt rejected. Whether itโ€™s her or her family that does it, the end result is the same.

Itโ€™s human emotions. Many people are inherently petty which is why the learning environment should be strictly professional. A teacher should simply avoid hitting on or trying to marry his student whilst sheโ€™s in his class. Also, even if he doesnโ€™t become petty, itโ€™s still an incredibly awkward scenario for the girl and the teacher and the classroom should be a place of learning in which peopleโ€™s personal lives arenโ€™t a factor. Itโ€™s unethical and uncivilized behavior. Also, it will also, causes gossip and allegations of cheating since disgruntled students can claim that the teacher was favoring the student he was trying to marry since heโ€™s shown interest and the list goes on. Itโ€™s a no go.

If the teacher is purposely lowering her grades, they could change school anytime

It shouldnโ€™t be on the student. Thatโ€™s obviously a given. It be should be on the school to create an environment in which such a thing doesnโ€™t happen.

I canโ€™t believe weโ€™re debating basic common sense. Itโ€™s a good thing that most advanced civilized societies donโ€™t allow that. Itโ€™s third world, war torn countries in which the ink on the degree paper is worthless that has the mentality that youโ€™re illustrating.

I could never trust an institution that openly allows that and guess what? Neither does the world at large.

The scenarios that proponents of this union, are painting are so rare and impossible. "If they both consent"- then we need to define "consent". "If it's done in a halal manner". The very relationship between teacher and student, cannot be halal based on how it comes about.

The only time it could meet such criteria, is in Universities and even then, are we talking about a teacher who randomly meets a student (not his or her student) outside of campus and then later discovers they are at the same university? It's all "what ifs".

When in doubt; go without, right? SMH

I agree that itโ€™s kind of weird. Whatโ€™s even more troubling is that no one called him out and they celebrate it as if itโ€™s normal.

There are no safeguarding laws back home. Perverts, will always find a way to twist Islamic teachings to get what they want. I guarantee you, that if someone even introduces a law that stops fraternisation between teachers and students, there will be an uproar.

I highly doubt that this was common when we had a fully functioning stable government, but Somalia is currently a third world country with subpar universities in which the degrees are worthless and arenโ€™t respected. Hence, there is a lack of rules and ethnics surrounding the learning environment and the normalization of this illustrates this.

I donโ€™t care if the couple are adults and consenting. I find it disturbing that this relationship started in the classroom and if I was a student at that school Iโ€™d question how much of the teacherโ€™s marking with regard to his new bride was accurate? Iโ€™d question if heโ€™s hunted for women in his classroom before and have made female students uncomfortable before? How did impact their learning?

Also, letโ€™s delve into the scenario of if his affections were rejected. How would the student feel? Would she drop out out of embarrassment? Iโ€™ve rejected men in the past and felt awkward to see them but imagine if it was my own teacher who was also marking my paper?! Wallahi itโ€™s incredible how many of the guys here canโ€™t see how horrible it is from a studentโ€™s perspective and how that can ruin someoneโ€™s learning experience.

There absolutely will be an uproar. The fact that there was a big wedding attended by all of his family and friends tells you that they view it to be normal. And it wouldโ€™ve been ok if he used to be her teacher.

Good point. These people had no exposure to any civilized society and didnโ€™t learn about conflicts of interests and appearance of a conflict. Iโ€™m sure as more people understand whatโ€™s wrong with this, it will become eradicated. In fact Iโ€™m sure there technically are rules governing these things but good luck enforcing them.

Our leaders need to be held accountable. Remember that time the sports minister snuck in his obese niece into a global sporting event and she became a meme? I bet a lot of his friends and family felt good that he was looking out for them.

Forget this case for a moment, I'm asking in general, are you okay with teachers being allowed to have relationships with their students?
Hey, itโ€™s interesting is that even the fobs can lowkey see there is something wrong with it. Look at this comment:

Comments insinuating that sheโ€™s been passed and has been getting extra help. If people that werenโ€™t raised on law and order can see it, then how can these Western raised Faraxs not understand this? Being thirsty is one hell of a drug.

If you look at the comments, the fobs get it as well which is why the main comments are about her not ever failing an exam. Even they can see that a student having a very personal relationship with a teacher, the marks cannot be trusted. They can see it, but Somalia unfortunately is a country in which dysfunctionality reins supreme.

Well, thatโ€™s good. At least itโ€™s frowned upon

Theyโ€™re not frowning upon it. They can see the issue but havenโ€™t really made the overall connections to how bad it truly is. Itโ€™s a joke to them. I highly doubt theyโ€™d agree with me if I said we should have laws in place. They donโ€™t seem to understand how such a thing undermines the educational process and how it can be incredibly uncomfortable for female students. But theyโ€™re half way there if they can at least see the issues student/teacher relationships pose.

I see nothing wrong with Student And Teacher getting married if She is of age and he didnโ€™t get any alone time with her. Since I think he didnโ€™t do it the right way they probably fell into some haram before marriage so it makes this union haram.
