I guess a clan gets to a stage of maturity where it doesn't need it's relatives anymore and can survive on it's own. We pay our own 'mag' and provide insurance for all bah dubays in nugaal. We have become large enough to handle ourselves. That's why I don't buy into clans who claim to be large but they pay the mag together. We lost a-lot of lineages in that war and the surviving lineages said we cannot stay here anymore and decided to leave and move south. Bari was basically all under his 'dominion' and control.

So we settled in nugaasha where it was no man's land at that time, there wasn't a single settlement, the whole area was full of 'nomadic herders' and we just took our 'xoolo' and families and started moving towards nugaasha. We stayed ever since, we haven't moved an inch for over 2 centuries. Same places. We only move for rains. But we don't venture beyond 'xalin' that is the last grazing ground we go too in bari.

We don't go beyond Tukaraq till this day and graze there sometimes depending on rainy seasons. Plus we go to the hawd areas from time to time. But this is normal of somali culture to move around but we always return to 'nugaasha' which is our base now.

Is it true 'reer keenadiids' have packed up from mudug and re-settled bari? we still do not graze in bari till this day. We have a few people who go to bari for business(due to the port). We have a-lot of bakaaro, restaurants and stuff like that in garowe and we need to source our goods from bosaso port, so we do have business people who go there. But not really settle there and the occasional bah dubays woman who marries a reer bari man but that's not 'common' either but it happens from time to time.
