Arabic is alongside Somali. Somali needs to be removed from the government & education should only be in Arabic. Maybe some few English language universities could exist but the Arabic ones should outnumber them.

If SL wants to elevate itself it should follow the Singapore model, make English an official language, Invest in education and bring in foreign talent to transfer skills and knowledge.

It wouldnt matter if SL got independence if they held a referendum and all the clans under them agreed to be under them. If they were like djibouti and not hating on other somalis but collaborating and having a mutual relationship I see no issue with them being independent but instead of acting diplomatically they just hate and make enemies also as for @Garaad Awal proposal I dont think you guys should adopt arabic language as your primary language thatd just coonish.

Don’t know what that word means but considering I see Somalians repeating day & night hopefully you can translate for those of us who don’t speak Af-Qoti.

Somalians should have Af-Maay as one of their official languages as well as Swahili as there are many Swahili speakers in your country excluding the foreign forces such as Barawe & Bajuni Island/Kismayo

1. Af Maay is Somali, you northerners don’t understand them but people from Banadir, the Shabelle regions and Hiiraan can understand the dialect.
2. Chiminiwi Swahili is only spoken by a Barwanis and they are probably less than 1 % of the population.

1. Af-Maay is not Somali nor is it a dialect of Somali (Af-Maxaa). This is agreed upon by linguists. As for why Somalians can understand them is purely due to exposure and the fact that Banadiri Somali dialect has been extremely influenced by Af-Maay.

2. Chimwini & Bajuni Swahili need to be preserved by your govt. Many Somalians due to fleeing to Kenya during the 90s can also speak Swahili.
