Tribalism doomed us from the start; how is it that nations with multiple ethnicities perform better? Somalia was a stable democracy until Barre. Sure; he did some good things but nothing a democracy couldn’t eventually achieve either. And even you people do it here too, always attributing certain stereotypes to certain Qabil. How can you call yourselves better than your forebears? There is literally a whole forum for Qabil shit.

anyone mentioning Qabil should be imprisoned and the curriculum would be overhauled to be Somali-centric. Qabils would be forced to get along, Singapore style. Moving them around & encouraging intermarriage could help make them forget what Qabil they are eventually and thus the concept of Qabil dies with their ancestors. Anti-Qabil discrimination or nepotism would be outlawed with strict enforcement.

This wouldn’t work in a democracy though and I’d imagine that you’d need full & total control over the country, without relying on support from Qabil elders. Otherwise you’d accomplish nothing.

You’re coming at it from the right place. But it’s too entrenched to get rid of and Somalis are patriotic when it comes to confronting outsiders.

I have been to Somalia recently. It’s definitely different from the west. People travel with body guards because that’s the only way to protect yourself. There are no police who people can call and who respond. Someone can kill you and get away with it. Someone can steal all of your money and get away with it. That…that’s fucked up.

Simply put, this doesn’t happen in the west. You don’t need a body guard to travel through LA (unless you’re into shady stuff lol). Government institutions exist and are functional in the west. The poorest county in America has 1 sheriff and a deputy sheriff working in shifts.
