If they are sent back, those migrants will lose their income and revenue, and the ones they back home will be without financial support.

The western world economy will take a hit to, because a good portion of it is dependent on migrant labour, especially America. If you send them back things will collapse, even food production which require farmers to hire them as laborers.

i only had europe in mind tbh, i mention trump because his electoral victory emboldens the far right in europe and gives other western governments some kind of mandate to do such a thing.

besides america can import its lower castes from latin america and the phillipines, these places make for very reliable workers generally. theres also a lot of native low skilled labor who can do these jobs, strengthening ICE and shutting down refugee programs would effectively lock new somali arrivals out of the US unless they spend a good amount of time in kenya. our existing pathways for legal immigration are already very limited

Trumps not gonna stop immigration, maybe he will for a few weeks but the main thing he needs to do is fix the immigration southern border crisis. If you look into whats happening its ridiculous. The federal gov under biden did nothing and states had to do it themselves. The people you refer to as 'low caste' are people from mostly central and south america(Nicaragua, Guatemala Venezuela ...) Thats his main issue.

Most somalis come from the legal route im sure they are not gonna be affected but recently under biden they saw their free ticket and got in through the south. I think they bring new ideas of what these countries are missing, but they won't be big ones due to these people not getting that educated. For instance they will have ideas on all children attend School for free.
