As for the complex, this is very odd; my father lived in Europe decades ago and travelled quite a bit; he rarely met women with features like Somalis. He's a boomer, to give you a point of reference.
The ladies have a point. There has been a recent surge of threads similar to this. I think this is due to SSpot's demographics getting even younger. We probably have late 2000s babies in here.

Generally speaking Caucasians may share those narrow features in one plane e.g. the frontal plane (narrow in terms of width) while they bring other traits (more protuding nose, comparatively broader and angled nostrils etc.) to the mix which then are categorised as "narrow", while Somalis keep the narrowness across the board so to speak.
Ofc there is a spectrum but my suugo science of the day is backed by personally observed averages and "common" sightings

and B) there continues to be a move in the direction of globalisation when it comes to appropriating certain features, where plastic surgeons try to mimic that which is universally deemed as aesthetic but generally found more often in other populations.
So there seems to be a distinction even between "narrow" features and some variants are more desirable than others.
I'd say Somali features rank high among those that are frequently emulated.
