When I was an eighth grader there was this Lebanese girl in my class, she used to talk to me alot and sometimes would stalk me to the school cafeteria. I was young back then didn't know what was love all I cared about was Yugioh and catching up to the latest episodes of Ben 10. Now I still bump into this girl and everytime I think about it I regret not making a move.
I was 7. He had forgotten his lunch at home and was sitting alone behind the school portable. I gave him half of my nutella sandwich and decided to spend the lunch hour with him. This is significant because it was at the height of the cooties war and he was shunned by our peers, which is why he was sitting alone. I sacrificed my reputation for love.

I've had crushes and I liked some of my dates but never felt that love until I met my current boyfriend. Being with him I realized what love actually is. It's not about the lusting or stomach fluttering. It's the unconditional support, trust and respect you have for each other. The patience and kindness that is shown during disagreements. How you spend your time together - sharing your aspirations and helping each other grow in those areas. Holding the same values and caring for each other. It's hard finding that kind of love in this society with all the garbage that is spewed in the media and environment but it does exist!
