The man was a wadani no matter where he came from. He founded Jowhar and established railways, the farms you see today and most of the old buildings using money from his pocket.
Thats what I've been told, if its true then the government should change its name back to: Villaggio Duca degli Abruzzi (Village of Duke of the Abruzzi).

Why you lot hating on him he was the guy who made jowhar and improved a lot of infrastructure in the local area.

At the end of the day, he was looking out for his country's imperial interests. The infrastructure built in Jowhar was used to facilitate the exploitation of Somalia's agricultural resources that was to be shipped to Italy whilst the local people starved.
There's nothing to be proud of here. Pointless thread.
