There was no formal agreement signed between Faccist Italy and the Solomonic Dynasty of a protectorate status. Nobody would describe the occupation of a European states during WW2 by the axis as “colonization “ so its disingenuous to do the same for Ethiopia.
Btw: the last independent African entity was not Ethiopia like everyone claims. It was Afars, specifically the Sultanate of Aussa. They were conquered by Italians a few months after Ethiopia was occupied then incorporated into Ethiopia after the Solomonic dynasty returned into power.

The Ethiopians were never colonised bruv, but in saying that. As mentioned in the video, without foreign intervention, they would’ve been colonised. Much like most of their history, without a foreign backer they would’ve been conquered.

Not to mention that some places in Africa literally had no cities so its all rural villages or almost empty space
