The foreign minister stated that he hasn't seen the MOU document and expressed his concerns over some of its articles that could be compared to going to hell vowing that they will sign only ig it aligns with sland interests which it doesn't

Why hasn't he seen the MoU? What kind of nonsense is that statement to be honest. He should have seen it or withheld his comment until he saw it. This is not a good look if your country signs an agreeement and the next governemnt starts talking like that. Not even diplomatic language suggesting that the last president was sending SL to hell. This is a bad look.
It wasn't even a smart thing to say. It was just signalling to a base we hate Muse Bixi I think. You look worse to everyone else except your base.
You make the country you are trying to represent look like maybe the deals you sign as government could get thrown in the bin without the next government even looking at them.

How does giving away 20km of land to a neighbouring third world country help Somaliland's quest for recognition?
Given every inch of land in sland belongs to a random people, where are you getting those mystery 20km from? Do you actually think the same somali clans that won't allow the camels of the neighbouring clans to drink in their wells gonna allow non somalis to take dozens of kilmoters of their land?
Given the largest military base and port are not more than 1km, what is the rational behind ethiopia asking for 20km strip of land? What do they need for such swathes of land?
From the legal perspective isn't the somaliland constitution unequivocally against giving away 1 inch of sland territory no matter what? And isn't it illegal for presidents to sing deals when their term is approaching let alone a president ruling on extension term?

If I was sland I wouldnāt even be using recognition as a bargaining chip. Recognition from Ethiopia is useless in the grand scheme of things and Ethiopia is the desperate one rn and when someone is desperate you take advantage thatās negotiations 101. If I was this guy I would rip up the MOU and I would give a counter offer telling them they want a military base they have to pay a fuckton of money every month as rent and they have to give us free weapons training etc. if they want to use the port they can use it but they have to pay 3x the regular price that locals pay plus taxes and tariffs. Abiy used both Biixi al Nafti Naga and Hassan al Buldanana. He will get sea access at the end of this with no recognition of SL. He used biixi the for the sea issue to spook Xamar.

Beesha is blessed to have him. The initial plan was to throw Awdal under the bus, facilitating its annexation into Ethiopia in the future in exchange for ictiraaf from 4th world Ethiopia. Only after the strong backlash did SL play vague with the location of this base

I donāt know much about him, but heās nothing like the previous FM, who was certainly a spineless coward.
The same people who are criticising this guy are the ones who celebrated when the previous FM degraded himself by going half nude to some cultural tradition for the irrelevant country of Eswatini, attempting to tie it to diplomacy.
