They've caused more problems for the poor civilians than good.. Obviously the Palestinians can't beat Israel militarily, so it's better to use another uproach, I know this is easier said than done, but every time they engage in war they'll keep on losing more land and people.
You don't think Hamas was able to achieve many goals in the past 15 months? Don't look at the number of martyrs or the buildings being demolished. Hamas is as strong as they were 15 months ago. One of the strongest military capabilities was unable to defeat people who have Allah's support.

If you compare Qassam to Hezbollah it is clear the latter has a far better intelligence and security evasion system. The fact that Israeli were only able to do a few hostage rescue in 15 months and Qassam launching operations up until 3 days ago shows you Israelis failure from an intelligence perspective. They will go back to the drawing board to evaluate where things have gone wrong and increase oppressive surveillance systems against Palestinians.
