Kenya and North Tanzania was Cushitic (like Somalis) for thousands of years before turning Nilotic and Bantu.

Most Kenyans, even the Nilotic and Bantu ones, have some level of admixture from the native Kenyans who were Cushitic.

See the following:

I know but most Kenyans even masaai dont look Somali. So I assumed the ones in the video were Rendille because they looked Somali/Cushitic.

So these niggaz are what Somalis would look like without Islam? Damn

This is wrong and a commonly made mistake.

They adopted the Nilotic culture of the Samburu. Their culture is mostly Nilotic.

pre-Islamic Somali culture is practically completely gone and only partially there in ethnic Somalis only. They have changed culturally just as much as Somalis have.

The Darod tribe is full of waaq clans. Our ancient native @SOMALI GENERAL 's clan is named Jidwaaq.

This was the pre-Islamic Somali name for God.
I think Waaq was a specific Bird God that they believed held the earth in place.

In Somali, its usually Eebe for God, even in the translation of the Qur'an, Alle is not used but Eebe till this day

I thought Waaq was the equivalent to the English word "Lord"?

For example, Jidwaaq translates to "Path of the Lord".

I used to the think that aswell. I found out recently it a specific God that was worshipped and even had an Idol. At first, the Idol was in Waqooyi Galbeed in a place called CaabudLa until it was transferred to CaabudWaaq which became the Mecca of the Horn.

Go back to a religion we know nothing about besides the name?

atleast we can shed the rigid madness we are in and just call ourselves waaqis.
no jalibiib, no crazy wadaads running superstitious stuff round the clock.
Stay at peace my waaqi people.
