I didn't realize old people were legitimate when they said my generation of Somalis say "Say Wallahi" way too often but after leaving my sheltered non-Somali circle I have experienced way too many Somali kids saying "Say Wallahi" to me.

What are your opinions on this?

When I was Muslim and if I was lying I would never say it. I would try to get around it. But now as an atheist I throw wallahis about everywhere :win:

I have noticed the same. I don't say it when I'm lying however because I rarely lie and I don't feel the need to swear on God's name in order to seem factual.

Kusme or qasmi comes from Arabic, I'm pretty sure.
It's the "qasamu" in "qasamu billah" that they're pronouncing in Urdu pretty much.
I'm reasonably confident the Afghan word for it, which I can't remember either comes from Arabic.

Afghans and Pakis use Wallah too. I've seen Afghans say Wallah Kareem whatever the f*ck that means.

It's a loanword. Chill.
