The Shame of Puntland as its soccer team flies to Hamar after Kismayo declared they can't be hosts

Puntland soccer team who won last years national football tournement in Mogadishu flew today again to Mogadishu to partake in the regional soccer tournement held for the five states plus Banadir in which Mogadishu is in.

It was Jubalands turn but due to logistical difficulties and financial restraints they had to declare that they are not capable at the moment.

This would leave the door open for Puntlnd to host it which had been an autonomous self ruling entity of its own for nearly 20 years.

But because Puntlands soccer stadiums look like this it went to Mogadishu which is dangerous and renowned for suicide bombings but atleast they have the facilities.

The funny thing is the team is led by Faroole's nephew Omar Faraweyne who is the Governor of Nugaal.

He used to be his uncle's commander of the Presidential troops.

Everywhere there is something on he is at the forefront like when Shabab attacked Garacad and the war with Galmudug.

how is it embarrassing?, puntland is in somalia... if anything this will encourage better relationship. its not about who has the prettiest stadium, but how these tournaments can reunite us, besides this will give puntites the opportunity to visit the capital, for those who never left there state. Ben Puntland had 26 years of peace and 20 years of self rule if Jubaland declined they should have replaced them as hosts.

Mogadishu is dangerous only last months over 500 lost their lives in a single attack that alone would suffice to rule it out.
