Ben you miss the point I support the federal government and I am not instigating any feud just highlighting that the only place which is peaceful and had self rule is looking like this shows you the corruption that is going on.

All over Somalia has corruption, besides just because Puntland had peace doesn't guarantee a safety environment.. you say you support the federal government, yet at the same time ridicule a sporting event, which is great for unification with titles like "the Shame of Puntland".
Last year's Somaliland tournament was held in Hargeisa this one coming up in Las Anod.

Xaysimo did really well last time but just lost out once to lose the final. Well now it's gonna be in their home region

You do have 1 key problem, no state is without it's criticism, but to only look at something from a critical point of view disregarding everything else is also not rational at all and discredits you in more then one way. It's like looking at why

I am a Puntlander and it upset me to see that Jubaland that was created by Puntland had a go at hosting the games while Puntland did not even dream to ask to host it because of the pitiful conditions of their stadiums.
Not one proper stadium while Puntland was surpassed by Laascaanood and Kismayo.
Hargeisa‘s stadium looked like this in 2015 and so did all the other stadium including Mogadishu but why is Laascaanood and Kismaayo ahead while Puntland has more money, people and land.
Now after it has been outlined and rightly shamed they want the diaspora to chip in so that Bosaso and Garoowe can compete.
It is a shame that Puntland could not support Mogadishu which will have to divert much resources for security precautions it would nice to give them space and a breather that’s why Kismaayo was chosen to share the burden.

Puntland had to fill the vacuum but alas they could not and that is a shame when other less developed places who recently formed can ascribe to hosting such tournament. We all know that those administrations in Somalia that were recently formed are paper administration and that Puntland is the only proper State but with Gaas its status had been declining as well as all aspects of government.

The Facebook post by the minister already caused controversy by only posting pictures of stadiums in Bosaso and Garoowe and how they‘d look like in 2018 towards the end of his and Gaas‘s term.
The people of Gaalkacyo went ballistic and said that Gaalkacyo is not an orphan.
They also cried out that why they are last in everything as they previously went mad and envious of Bosaso and Garowe Airports!

One more thing I have noticed is some people really try hard under the cloud of nationalism and unity to want Mogadishu to host all national tournaments every year and for people to head there as an annual pilgrimage and homage to the capital.
That is a simplistic child like view, that is the reason why Somalia is in the state it is now.
They simply cannot see the beauty of different states becoming hosts and rather having different baskets to put your eggs in than one which we know after it was destroyed there was nothing else and the things built by all the people in Mogadishu went to one group, faction or clan. They did not take advantage however of their newly gained assets but was closed for decades as they could not agree on controls it.

My last post might seem harsh or clannish but I don’t want to be misunderstood. Somalis back then agreed on a President but I blame Mohamed Farah Aidid who saw himself as a liberator and the man with the biggest contribution of toppling the military government those who supported him in his tribal purges were wrong as can be attested to the war inside Mogadishu by different factions and his murder subsequently by one of his closest clan cousin as he upset everyone so much that the last straw and raw was with his closest clan members because he was quarrelsome and the last people left to quarrel with were his own.
Puntland led by the current Nugal Governor is drawn in the group of Hirshabelle and South West State.

I think south-west is going win this tournament. These tournaments are clearly political, why you think PL stopped it's best players to come out? I am sure banadir did the same thing last time around. I think they want each regional state to win the cup once, This time it's definitely Baidoa turn!!! My bet is on them!!!
