Airlines are just private companies. Should take on countries issueing visas to SL passports first, should take on the countries violating their sovereignty directly. They going after airlines? This is Somalia, like any other country, you can't violate the sovereignty of Somalia, no airline that claims that Barcelona is separate from Spain will be allowed to enter Spanish airespace or operate in the country.

Somalia's airspace which also includes Somaliland's is controlled by ATC in Mogadishu, your silly imaginary state tried gave contradictory commands from their unauthorized ATC in hargeisa to cause an airline crash.

About time, Ethiopia Airlines is maliciously complying though. I hope the SCAA doesn't settle for their nonsense. They should either correctly place the country name after the city, as is done with everything else, or face the consequences.

This isn't the Somalia of 2006, SCAA has full authority and control over all the Somali airspace. Ethiopian Airlines can't do what it wants without facing serous issues with international laws.

The letters were made public which created some public pressure on the companies. Without that I doubt they would comply.
