I like it da way it is :zhqjlmx:

Only thing we need imo is getting rid of some loanwards I mean we got jamhuuriya in our countrys name

:camby:
All languages have been borrowing from each other since the beginning of time :browtf:
Its just that we put no effort in hiding it :chrisfreshhah:

Fair enough, but I'm sure we're all aware of the grim reality. Loosen up walaal, our shortcomings shouldn't prevent you from partaking in harmless discussions like these. I mean you've got to admit that it would be very bizarre to witness a ch*nk speaking Somali lol

It is not only about being aware though, walal. It is about doing something about the condition we are in. I have noticed that Somalis in general dont take things seriously. I am asking you, what's the point of dreaming, when you actually have the opportunity to actually go and turn your dreams into reality? But hey, you are right. I should not take this too seriously lol

I just keep it real walal. I used to have the same dreams as this person, until reality hit me. We need to get our prioriority straight. Famine, arabization, corrupt warlords\politicians, the civil war, tribalism\ignorance are what we need to get rid off in Somalia. When Somalia is no longer a failed state, and we have a government, then we can talk about the Somalia language. That's all I am saying..

I got it too good bruh. I dont have time to be negative. However, it is not my fault that you think being honest equals being negative. If you cant handle reality and the truth, then that's too bad. I guess you have helped me understand why Somalia is a disaster. Y'all dont wanna face reality. But, I will be nice and not bother yall with reality anymore. Continue living in your la la land walal:abuxyga:

Somali doesn't have words standardized in terms of spelling common phrases. I think that should be a thing too

No, the internet is full of shitty articles. We have grammar books and dictionaries if anyone bothered to use them.

@Shamis , yes but I read a Somali dictionary and grammar book, and it noted that Somali words are not standardized, meaning there are many of ways of spelling one word, but I don't know if that matters?

Although this is no longer possible. If Somalia gets its shit together, the Somali language can thrive in East Africa.
The required language would be Somali instead of Swahili. Every East African nation will use the Somali language for national speech.
It will be taught in every single. K-12, including colleges and Unis. The system will later expand to Central Africa, and later will spread across Africa. This will be the Somali language will be the language of the AFRICAN continent. This can be achieved because it hasn't happened, and the possibilities are endless. Imagine Hutus in the Middle of the Congo shouting, "Waryaaa!"
They'd ask you where are you from and you'd say, "Somalia" markaasey oron, "waryaaaaaa!" siilaanyolaugh
