United Somali Congress aidid and Cali Mahdi militia when the captured Mogadishu
They later splintered into two different groups and fought for power. The problem is they should have elected one and made the other VP. @Duubpon I don't look up Somali politics this my first year looking it up. I truly didn't know who was the president of Somalia or SL or PL until this year

I highly doubt about that :sass2:
Maybe your a failure at your own life but you need to learn how to not classify a nation of people with failure. Somalia has never been a failed state. I don't like weak self hating people like this. They tend to pull us down because they are the definition on a failure in mind and spirit. Abaha was should talk to him about the failure mindset he gave you. Matter of fact take Deni off of your pic because he's not a failure and put up Muse bixi because you think like he does.

This are two female Police officers. Can you imagine in the 70s and even early 80s Somalia was so peaceful the lower ranking Police officers didn't have to carry guns. They will get send to do crowd control, and break up fights in big soccer and basketball matches just carrying a baton. They will make arrest and take a suspect to the Police Station without using AK-47. That is when Somalis were respectful and law abiding citizens🙏

I don't understand how can some elders who saw these glorious days and saw the fall of our nation and still want to fuel the fire of qibyalad in our generation.

I just feel like we somalis were always on keg of powder waiting for any incident to explode.

We've been out the hood for 23 years walaal so you can rest easy.
Is that why you’re not living in somaliland? Somaliland is great but you decided to leave as an economic migrant or to travel the world right? Somaliland is definitely not a poor shithole.

This thread is about the Somali peninsula. So yes it's about Somaliland also. You've been robbed also sxb Im not just talking about Somalia but Somalis. Once you understand the bigger picture you'll start to understand what you and we could have all had by now.

Two landers insulted Somalia and acted as though it’s not about somaliland though. They’re “out the hood” apparently. I’m just simply responding to his delusions

i have family members that were forced to marry or married as teens during that time . Most of the women in my family were either illiterate or married off before they finished education so dont just dismiss what i stated people come from different realities and situations . Everything wasnt sunshine and rainbow during that time.

I can neither confirm or deny what you are saying about your own family. Cause i don't even know you or don't even know if you are real person. So there is no dismissal.

But what i can say and this is backed up by, documentation, research and actual testomonies that Somali women had access to education and basic services and literacy was widespread Pre-90s.

My mom for example grew up during the 70s/80s she enrolled in 1 year military, went to school, lived in a dorm, got a law degree, worked at a firm as an office clerk. She also didn't come from a well off family either, yet that was the kind of life she lived. She didn't even have kids or get married until she was in her mid 30s.

I can also tell you that unless you are put into some extreme desperate situation for survival nothing of sort will happen to you, as it does not happen for most Somalis. Most don't get forced to marry anyone or have kids early.
