Despite a handful of encouraging updates since his hospitalization a little more than a month ago, Lamar Odom continues to struggle with his recovery.
In a new interview with People, a source close to the situation said Odom won't be discharged from his Los Angeles hospital anytime soon.
"Lamar won't likely leave the hospital for a long time… and when he does, he will need full-time care," the source told the mag. "He can't take care of himself."

Though Odom continues to fight through his recovery process, he still faces significant physical limitations, after being found unresponsive after a drug overdose inside a Nevada brothel in early October.
"Lamar has made some progress, but his cognitive impairment is making life very challenging," another source told People, adding that Odom is still not able to walk by himself or easily communicate verbally.

"Lamar has serious long-term and lasting issues. His life will never be the same as it once was," the source added.
Earlier this month, Access Hollywood caught up with Khloe Kardashian, who said despite the difficulties, the 36-year-old former NBA star continues to make progress.
"He is doing better every day which is such a blessing, and I'm so grateful for that," Khloe told Access on November 9 at the book signing of her new book "Strong Looks Better Naked" in Los Angeles.
"I really do believe in the power of prayer and everyone being so positive and loving towards him. I think that, like even if he knows everything or not, I think that helps so much having that energy out there," she continued.
