The Turkish Construction Company is reaping the rewards of Somalias growth.

Due to the Somali construction companies being hopelessly corrupt, the FGS has implemented a new plan to help it boost the infrastructure within Somalia. Somalis will be hired under a Turkish run firm, they have been surprisingly effective and limited corruption in their dealings.

Wonderful project by Turkish engineers, i hope we can get giant apartments throughout somalia to reduce housing costs. Only problem is explosions could kill thousands so it would have to be gated.

No chance , you can't trust a Somali company in most cases due to corruption. This is why banks, government instutions and rich people have begun using foreign construction companies.

That's the problem with countries like ours. Our institutions are all over the place so even if someone has good intentions they don't have the support to do anything. Only people that can get stuff done are foreigners and they usually don't have good intentions

Ironically the Turkish companies operating in Somalia have very close ties to the ruling AKP party. Doesn't surprise me tho since the Turkish regime is full of corruption, like when the murtad Erdogan made his son-in-law a finance minister and he destroyed the Lira

Except Somali families are almost 4 kids on average, they won't fit into apartments. You would be recreating the cramped housing conditions we have in the West.
