thats what im saying, these race scientists dont even think logically. if UK is like toronto or any other non-US somali population group, most people actively discriminate against somalis as they are seen to be lazy, benefit scroungers, etc. which is sometimes true when you look at our elders who settled for benefits and not hard work.
Levels of education amongst Somali-born adults in the UK are low relative to many other foreign-born groups and to the British-born population.[64][106][107] Wikipedia
Somali-born migrants have the lowest employment rate among all immigrants in the UK. [109]
these are just SOME stats and data they use, and thats from unofficial census'.
also find it funny how they want to be removed from blacks, when thats basically one of the only identities saving us, seeing as somalis asa whole aren not as educated as a stand alone community like say nigerians, let alone putting somalis against ALL black/african people. This can go wrong in so many ways, and in ten years there will be a new set of UK Somali data people will always use to disparage them, as the census might read something like 100k somalis but officially only like 30k are working or something.
not my problem as im heading back to T dot as soon as my education here is done
People change so to think dynamically is important when assessing issues. There is power in cohesion and voting as a block to leverage some advantage in democratic governments. Somalis can vote as black and as Somalis depending on the need. It is good to be recognized as an ethnic group separate from others though it carries a risk as you stated. The risks come with who is in power. Powers change hands. If Somalis work for the better as a community, this will eventually benefit them. In America, Somalis have influence for this reason. They vote as a block.
