If one state, either Galmudud or Puntland told the USA to go away the USA would simply help the other group. These maamuls can't remove the influence of Ethiopia and the USA. Only the Federal government can and they are uninterested.

The Gaalkacyo conflict is so simple. Hawiyes were allowed to live in Gaalkacyo in 1993 according to the agreement Cabdullahi Yusuf made. He said the civillians could live their but they could not bring their militias. These people have no right to carve out a small suburb and call it the capital of a regional state they made.

We need a Federal government that will be impartial, not like the one know that encourages HG to fight and pays Barre Hirale to destablise Jubbaland. Our Federal Government is one of the main driving forces in the conflict in Somalia. They play these clan rivalries to their advantage.

We could reach a proper agreement very easily we have a real dialogue where all these rilvaries were addressed. Galmudug needs to abandon their claims over North Mudug and Hiraan. SSW needs to stop claiming all those territories. Somaliland needs to stop claiming Awdal and Harti lands. Hawiye need to own up to their crimes. And PL should just be told to keep on doing what they are doing.

If we had genuine reconciliation we could move forward instead of playing these Gaajo games all the time.
