Most of the cadaans I see having kids around me are largely bums. The professionals and the trust-fund babies, the ones that government lowkey wants to be having kids, are too self-centered and will continue living the bachelor lifestyle indefinitely. A lot of people are underemployed too so that affects things.

What the government can do is connect child care tax benefits to married and divorced couples only, which would help incentivize people. But feminists, BLM, Trudeau, and the rest of them would collectively lose their minds and it would never happen.
