I obviously didn't want to see the comment section but someone I know said it was like living in hell. Many many people agreeing and it wasn't just naadow or young people. It was all walks of life agreeing with the statement and we are talking hundreds of thousands agreeing. We can choose to gnore these type of content but young Somalis who go to school can't.

Most likely a bitter loser that is envious of us posted that but the people liking and agreeing which was near to a million must have believed in that post. People showing their faces young and older agreeing and laughing. Sad how young Somalis will have a knock down in their confidence when it comes to being somali unless the hate ends

Sis this will always affect me since this did affect me in real life when someone infront of me said somali girls are ugly and worse enough I had a crush on him. These things wil seep into schools since children are chronically online and from what I heard its currently happening now in schools particularly towards Somali girls and there's absolutely no reason for me to lie about something so serious that's happening in secondary schools. Not saying it happens to most somali girls but the hate is increasing to no end.

What does this have to do with Islam, when the deen tells us not to insult one another? Do you have an ulterior motive?

"O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames." (Surah Al-Hujurat, 49:11)

I need y'all to stop generalizing when an Arab, Asian, or any other Muslim disrespects you. Thinking everyone is perfect is a flawed mindset, and their action has nothing to do with the deen.

Not everyone is on the same level in terms of faith. And they will be held accountable on the day of judgement

This obviously has 0 percent to do with Islam but it does have something to do with muslims who aren't actively practicing the deen and instead following the kuffars and their ways. They will be held accountable anyways.

Is anyone here agnostic/atheist or non-religious?

I consider myself agnostic/non-religious as of recently Never opened the quran before, never prayed, my friends would ask if i prayed, i lied saying i did. My parents never really made an effort to get me into the religion, maybe because they just wanted to escape the troubles during the civil...

Anyone remembers when Somalis were going die hard when Morocco qualified for the World cup and they were cringing when we overtook them in crowds supporting them. Never in my life did i feel embarrassed than that day. Now we finally don't need to see Somalis dick ride north Africans.
