There is no candidate that looks optimistic for the next Somalia election

They're either recycled failures or aren't to be trusted. How is there not one candidate that looks promising or is educated? I was thinking Hamza but i have heard otherwise. It isn't looking good for Somalia if its only Hamza, Sharif, Farmaajo or Deni looooool

It's embarsssing. Even Somaliland elected Someone fresh and new with 1m1 vote. Done so professionally which I am so proud. Why aren't there young and upcoming Somali men who cares about Somalia not running for presidency? smh

Kheyre is the only decent candidate but nothing promising since Somalia needs a new system. A new system that will take out terrorism and foreigners from meddling in Somalia soil. Only than will Somalia turn a new chapter.

Khayre is a good choice, we want someone who was educated and grow up in the west as president. Khayre for president and and maybe any darood candidate, certainly not Farmaajo, and I don't think Deni will accept to be the PM.

Deni was used like a kleenex wipe last election I don't think he will be duped again. He will most likely back the biggest opponent and most viable hawiye rival to HSM out of pure spite rather than political savy-ness and that person in shaping up to be kheyre rather than sheikh sharif. I would mind murusade being president actually as villa somalia is usually only occupied by MX, MJ or Abgaal I think our presidents have to reflect the diversity of Somalias clans.

There needs to be a leader that abolishes qabil like Nigeria did. Somalia probably won't prosper if qabilism triumphs in the country. It's useless and got Somalia nowhere but corruption.

Unfortunately qabil is intertwined and connected with our political landscape to then point where to remove qabil you would have to have the equivalent of a cultural revolution like China which has a slim to zero chance of happening. It's time we accept the Somalia pill.

Than don't be surprised if Somalia don't prosper and will always be bottom of the barrel. Qabilism is what leads to arrogance and disagreement. It doesn't bring a single benefit not one. I'm happy Somaliland only had two tribes and we aren't no where near chaotic like Somalia.

If the voting system does indeed work like this then I assume the winner would be who ever bribed the most amount MPs and Senators. So that would mean whichever candidate got the most amount of money should be the next president. Or am I missing something else?

You are right money plays a very crucial role in the election process but don’t forget alliances are equally as important. Farmaajo had crazy amounts of money last elections but HSM still won due to alliances with the other major players.
