Why English tho only somali language should be economic language and not English

I thought Khamri was just the alchohol you drink, does it include all alchohol?The funniest thing about that book is they replace khamri (arabic loan word) with alkohol, which is another arabic loan word.

Yeah but realistically speaking English would be very very useful as it's essentially the global lingua franca right now, like French and Latin used to be.
The english world "alcohol" comes from the Arabic word "Al-Kukhul", meaning body eating spirit.

I think it is quite a stretch for Somalis to start learning Arabic, especially how there's a growing number forgetting how to speak Somali at all. Although I do believe that the Somali script should be switched to Arabic, it will increase the literacy rate and its what was originally used to write it.

If somali continues to use latin or some other script how will they read ancient texts? how will people who can't afford to go to school but can read the quran become literate? It's just dumb anti-arab shit.
Because the English language does not have a "Kh" sound.
Do this sxb: Say alcohol and seperate the "al" from "cohol". Then say "Al-Kokhol".
But alcohol doesnt have kh in it
They took out the kh because there is no kh in the english langauge.
For example, in Arabic, fridge is thalaajad but in Somali its talaajad, because there is no letter "th" in Somali.

Because when languages take words from other languages they change the way it's pronounced to fit the phonology of their own language.
English does not have the "x" sound
Agreed, this is why I can't take people who want to write Somali in the Arabic script seriously.
