How did Syrians even end up in Somalia? I thinks it's good to welcome them. To my knowledge, they treated us well when our civil war started and their miskeen people running from a devastating war. But, I always wondered what possessed them to come to Somalia when Turkiye is nearer and better even with its discrimination.

Most of them still went to turkey, those who went to somalia probably did so because it may be easier to access with a Syrian passport and may be cheaper than living in turkey. The first few syrians who came found a welcoming environment so they made good PR for others to come and settle in Somalia.
