Barkhad came out in 2014 and it went global so americans knew who we were. Even Indians were known since there's millions of them in America yet when I was in social media in 2019 I hardly saw hate from either groups by anyone. Indian and somali women used to trend back than yet didn't get hear. I think is short form media like Reels and tiktok that makes it easy to push hate since your posting one video for everyone on tiktok to see not to mention hate is more pushed these days.
