Somalis everywhere else in Canada are fine and respectable. We have a Somali federal MP. We had a Leelkase guy as Chief of Staff for the former Foreign Minister. We have a Gadabursi girl who is in our current PMs political staff. They all have diplomatic passports.

We have the Ontario government appointing Somalis in high level committees as chairs and members.

We accomplished the most in the diaspora.

@Thegoodshepherd the former Edmonton Jewish mayor personally donated $10K to a Somali women's organization here and got his business friends to donate as well, including the owner of the Edmonton Oilers Daryl Katz. We have a lot of influence here man while all the other diaspora communities are doing nothing. Your communities don't have the same influence as we do. Do you know the cocaine dealer of WWF star Bret Hart is a Somali guy? Reer Canada are very influential and powerful. Even Somalis took down Mayor Rob Ford who was his personal crack dealer.

Somalis have clout. We have influence. You can't say that about other communities.
