Training AI takes heavy toll on Kenyans working for $2 an hour | 60 Minutes

astaghfirullah the outsourcing company(American) make $12 an hour, while they employees $2 an hour.
They should have charge more 2 dollars an hour is like crack head prices. For this job in the state they make 40 dollars an hour. They should have at least requested 20-16 due them being in Africa

The outsourcing company is American, they deemed 2 dollar before tax being enough, keep in mind the material these people are moderating is hard-core level shit, they are also on zero-hour contracts.

Another African contractor :ulyin:. How much do you think the president of Kenya is taking from them? I'm thinking the other 38 dollars an hour is his cut. Off of each employee :russ:. For instance if they have 1k employees* 38hrly wage*80hrs a month. That nearly 3 million*12 =36mill at the end of the year :whew:

I doubt Fb or any other company would pay that much, the Indian companies only break even selling your data, compared to the EU that shit is behind VM, I've seen American companies hosting data in India :russ:

I studied this in business. Should multi nations be able to exploit workers like this? Or could you say they’re providing job opportunities but due to economic conditions are forced to accept low working standards and bad pay. Standard multinational corp activities tbh their government should put into law a good minimum wage but that would hurt their colonial masters

that would just scare off all foreign investment. why would anyone want to build in africa if not for cheap labor?
