When Somalis fight over dusty useless tuulos, the world is fighting over who gets to take Somalia's resources worth hundreds of $billions.

I say we should let them keep it all, Somalis don't deserve to have such luxuries.

Why not, we're incompetent either way. Let us get going, and after that we can get back control.

Yes let us be in the mercy of US. Yes let them use us like dogs and steal our resources! Mashallah great idea. We are dumb idiots anyway arent we? Heck why dont we just let them have 100% control over all the oil reserves?

Taking back control from something the US already has control off is merely impossible :mjkkk:

You need two know how oil development works.

We need a foreign company or nation to Co invest, in return they get a share in the start. That's how Saudi Arabia started, the US/American companies owned most of the ARAMCO oil company that had exclusive rights to Saudi oil, and after a few decades the Saudis bought their way to fully owning it.

Norway also brought in American companies to drill for oil, and after they had learned the expertise themselves they would end up owning it all.

Somalia has no expertise in oil. And we have incompetent politicans. Let the Americans build infrastructure and drill oil, in exchange we get revenue which we can use to build up the nation and educate our own people.

I agree we do need a foreign company to drill oil. But how much share do you think the foreign company should get?

Exactly. I don't even mind if they get 70 % share, 30 % revenue is still massive compared to now when we don't have f*ck all.

A barrel of oil costs about 50$, we can sell ours cheap and clean for under 19.99$ per barrel, and produce 100million barrels per day, 100million×19.99= 1.99billion $ per day.
:banderas:

As of January 2007, Saudi Aramco's proven reserves were estimated at 259.9 billion barrels (41.32×109 m3), comprising about 24% of the world total. They would last for 90 years at the current rate of production. 85% of Saudi oil fields found have not produced oil yet.

Saudi Arabia is so blessed man. :ileycry:
