The dude made the exact same threats in his first term and used it as leverage to change nafta into usmca which was a much better deal for America. Trump wants to succeed for the simple fact that he has a big ego so he probably won’t do dumb shit like blanket tariffs

I guess why he is putting tariffs on Canada are 1- a decision made by his fanatic cabinet, 2- to make oil fracking more profitable, since canada has over 40% share of oil imports to the US

Yes it's the politicians , the whole platform of the right wing party is rooted in scapegoating different demographics, through immigrations, race, gender, religion etc . They don't run on real policies.

Often they do this take the attention away from the exploitation by corporations and the hording of wealth by rich elites and the corruption in the political system.
