Two types of Semites in the Horn

Ethiopian and Eritrean (ie. Habesha) are Semitic by language and Northern Somalis (Dir and Isaaq) are Semitic by heritage or lineage.

Would this be a wrong conclusion by sticking to Habesha languages (they’re also ~50% Semitic by lineage) being Semitic and Northern Somalis’ haplogroups being Semitic?

The Dir are fully Cushitic unlike the Habesha who have sizable J1 paternal lineage, they only brought men and not women, unlike the Dir who migrated with their whole family, the only evidence is the haplogroup and slightly elevated Arabian DNA, the modern take that they migrated either through the Bab El Mandeb or settled on the coast forming trading towns, which makes the most sense.

We have a general timeline between 2,200 -2,800 ybp, the real answers will be with more testing of T in the horn and amongst the Hawiyes since the union between us cemented the most recent, and More testing of E-V32 dir and T Hawiyes.

Most ethnicities carry multiple paternal haplogroups. We're pretty unique to carry only 2 on average
