I'm not saying Somalia should be a colony of other countries, but it should become a country that looks forward and not backwards. How many Somalians talk about the past and it's glory? They forget that it was all lost because of over reaching its power. How many Somalis would wish for Somalia to try to invade Ethiopia again? It's a continuous cycle of war, poverty, development, war...

Congos resources are being looted and you have kids in gold mines working for less than a dollar a day. The mines are controlled by local rebels. Its an absolute mess. Somalia is bad but Congo is worst.

Diplomacy won't work if you don't have any cards on hand.

The previous Ogaden war was a mistake that even Siad Barre regretted when it was launched by the rebels inside Ethiopia.

He probably did it to have a way to rally the nation behind him but it was clearly orchestrated by people in the regime that wanted to make him look bad since all our allies were against it.

If Ethiopia simply treats the Somalis in Ethiopia like normal citizens and doesn't cut of our water supply then there aren't many reasons to invade.

Most those rebel groups are controlled by the neighbouring nations (even the innocent Rwanda) and are remnants of the first Africa wide war where countries were fighting over Congo resources.
